Coffee is what runs through my veins.

It is the first thing on my mind when I wake up in the morning, and if it's not yours.... You aren't human.

It's not just the caffeine, not just the pleasant aroma that caresses my lungs when I breathe it in. Not just the taste and not just how beautiful a cup looks when you can tell that it was made with as much Love and Passion that a real artist has.

Some people prefer it cold, some hot, some simple, and some fancy. I, personally, love it all. The only way to mess up a cup of coffee with me, is to bring it to me with a big glob of whip cream on it. Froth is okay, but it should have a delicate sprinkling of cinnamon on it for sure.

There's really not much that you can do to make a cup of coffee more AMAZING than it already is, besides... maybe some caramel. No matter how you pronounce it, you can't go wrong with it.

But no, my favorite thing about coffee is the feeling, the emotion, the way everything feels much more calm and more at ease when you walk into a cafe. Whether it is with someone you love, just by yourself with a book or laptop, or even just you, yourself. As soon as you walk through the doors and the smell hits you, it's almost like a reflex to inhale deeply.

As you sit down, the first thing you do is wrap your hands around the cup, even if they aren't cold. You don't do it for the warmth, you do it because of the comfort that the warmth gives you. You take a sip and it goes immediately to your soul.

There's only a few things better than that feeling. If I didn't have to worry about anything and if I didn't have any responsibilities,... that's where you would find me. In a coffee shop, next to a window, with a book or a notepad and pen, and a pile of empty coffee cups next to me... especially on a rainy day. I want to travel the world going into different coffee shops and cafes just to experience the atmosphere... that is the best way to get a feel for the place you're in or the people around you. No matter who you are.... The internal walls always come down in a good coffee shop.

It is the absolute best way to get to know someone. Try it for yourself and see. Pay special attention to what they order and where they sit and you'll get a really good glimpse of who they are inside.
